Welcome back to our blog.

Our session on Wednesday the 2^nd of May was inspiring and educational as always.

With an irresistible smile Ana opened the meeting and gave the floor to Judit our acting president. In her typically pleasant way she welcomed everyone and gave our guests the opportunity to introduce themselves.

Lucie, today’s toastmaster introduced today’s agenda and the technical team could explain their role. Our ladies got us of to a great start, we just were missing the joke of the day to get our stomach mussels a work-out.

Lucie introduced our first speaker Paolo, who gave his first speech ‘The Icebreaker’ and we welcomed him to the podium with a roaring round of applause. Like most of us know, the first speech is usually an important step in integrating in our club and leaves the speaker as well as the audience with a lasting impact. So was Paolo’s speech.

As his evaluator Javier confirmed, he gave a personal, emotional and excellent speech that met all the set requirements.

Our next orator Thomas gave already his 5^th speech, his on a fast track. His chosen theme was ‘Establish relations’. He also hit us with his biggest weapons which is his big smile, a hearty handshake and some friendly words.

Mission accomplished, relation established.

His evaluator Joan praised him and gave him a few thought for improvement.

As usual the audience writes a few words to the orators to encourage and help them.

Florian our guest speaker from the Prestigious club gave a speech about the use of voice. He supported his lecture by scientific research of the Boston voice matrix. It gave us some new insights of  learning how to speak in public.

Table topic master Rebeca challenged us to speak from the top of our heads by presenting situations and jumping into it without much preparation. This is always the most surprising and sometimes funniest moment of our club meetings. Thank you Rebeca and the participants.

By the end of our meeting our technical team gaves a report about the times used, the count of unnecessary words or stumbling and the grammarian’s evaluation.

Ana and Judit gave us some parting words, reminded us of upcoming events and ended the meeting with another roaring applause.
