LUGGAGE STOLEN
Yesterday,
before the session started our luggage has been stolen and Catalina, our
president, was caught in a traffic jam. However this not was a problem for our
great and motivated Sargent at Arms and also Toastmaster, Paul Conde.
He
solved the problem and the session started normally. Thanks Paul!
Yes,
yesterday’s session was about motivation and nothing better to start with than
a joke from the brilliant Ramón Matabosch.
Next the
speeches:
In the
first speech of the evening , Sandra Almeida presented the stereotypes
surrounding Portuguese people. Sandra,
we wish you success in the next Contest!
After
Sandra, followed our tallest club member, Claus Lorenz. His Ice Breaker was
fantastic and we are sure that we will enjoy a lot all the speeches Claus will
have. Who knew that weather can be like Claus?
Why the
next speaker, Marina Álvarez is great? Because her smile fills the room, and
her speech attracts completely our attention. She is happy and her happiness
and vitality flows with her.
Now comes the
turn of the evaluators with, Catalina Maldonado, Marc Majoral, Jordi Varela and
Judit Permanyer, all senior members and, of course, very, very useful and
motivating evaluations.
After the
evaluations was the Table Topic time. Georgiana Moldoveanu, as a Table Topic
Master prepared a special session based on motivation. In this case, every
Speaker has to encourage the next to be motivated in delivering his speech.
Great idea Georgiana!
The
speakers were Alejandro, Camilla and Hugo.
Next, the
General Evaluator, our guest Alba Lucía Hincapié requested the reports of the Technical
Team (Jelena, Laia and Jorge) and did her evaluation about the entire session.
Thanks a lot Alba Lucía!
At the end,
Catalina delivers the ribbons for the Ice Breakers and encourages us to improve
our non-verbal communication skills in any occasion.
In summary,
a fantastic spring session of the oldest Toastmasters Club in Barcelona.
Congratulations!
