Halloween day in Barcelona Toastmasters Club

We had last Wednesday a TM session as usual but with an special theme. We celebrate a special Halloween session, all in black. Jose Luis, disguised for the event, directed the session with imagination and energy.

In the first part of prepared speeches, David Smith opened with an Icebreaker and the current Secretary of Club, Marion Chevalier, did her 7th speech.

David showed great speaker skills in his first speech with the title "Guess What?" and we could see he will be the perfect entertaining speaker, in my opinion one of the profiles more difficult to get.

The main objective of 7th speech is "Research a topic", Marion chose "colors". If you mix a topic close to everybody with the wonderful Marion's touch, the result is an awesome delivering with a big connection with people.

Evaluation was conducted by Marina. Marina was clear and well planned. Clear ideas on a clear voice and consistent gestures. A clever conduction with no mistakes. She was the leader of evaluation team of the evening consisted of Judit Permanyer and Cristine Twarog as speech's evaluators and Jesús Salillas, David Gonzalez and Cristina Hernández as Ah-counter, Grammarian and Timekeeper of the session.

This team mixed new and old members, although in my opinion we need more participation of new members in the whole session. Come on !!, new members, after months waiting and watching, it's the moment to be active. Experience is the way to learn and grow up.

The third and last part of the session was conducted by Sonia Rosales. The impromptus topics were well prepared by Sonia and she always has another topic to take out from her "hat" and so, invites the attendants to participate putting all his soul to explain her amazing topics with the only limit of time.
