16th May, 2018 was ... Drawing Day

The acting president, Isabel, opened the meeting asking the audience who had a CV. This apparently ordinary idea was hiding a groundbreaking topic: big Curriculum. What was that?
Isabel explained us that she read an article that got her attention.  Following this, she was urged to share with us the importance of adding activities in our CV that would focus on our personal growth. Ah this is the big curriculum!! She was greatly pleased when she revealed that toastmaster was one of those activities.
Following this, Raffaella surprised us on the stage as the toastmaster of the day. She started her role very originally with a quote from the painter Marc Chagall: “If I created from the heart, nearly everything works”.
She also taught us that the 16th of May was the international day of drawing and she challenged us to use imagination and art with the final goal of creating an art object together. Each person who had a role had to collaborate into creating one big drawing. After this, Raffaella explained how the session was organized and introduced the technical team composed by:  Adrien, Sonia and Isabel. All three of them explained their role very accurately.
The first speech of the session, Balance or Harmony, was presented by Anna. It was her ice-break.  Anna shared with us her four significant cycles of her life and how she brought these together. The beautiful message of her speech was not to look for balance, but to look inside ourselves and aim for harmony. Kudos to Anna!

The second speech was presented by Emilie. It was a compelling opportunity to learn from her work.  She shared her potential strategy for the future: The Empowerment of Older Patients.  Her take-home message was: Being restless is important to move mountains. Good luck Emilie on your journey for making a beneficial impact in our society!  You have our entire support!

The third and last prepared speech of the night was given by Maryiana: The 3 Little Pigs. Maryiana started with “Once upon a time”, we were engaged and our imagination went back to our childhood. Moreover while she was entertaining us she played with her voice and used a comic body language. Well done Maryiana!

The second part of the session concerned the feedback of the prepared speeches. The evaluators were the following: Marc, Sara and Jelena. All of them did a very good job stating what was good in the speech and providing suggestions for improvement. They did not forget to encourage our speakers to continue to keep on learning and improving.
Last but not least, it was time to have fun with table topics and Olga was the person in charge, with the topic: The Art of Selling.
The first courageous member to go to stage was Mona. Mona did a brilliant sales speech showing us why Eskimos have the necessity to use a refrigerator.
The second brave woman was Isabel who, with loads of humor, stated all the benefits of sharing a house with the squatters.
Alexa was the powerful sales woman who managed to sell us a multi-use hairdryer. We all got convinced!

As the session was approaching the end, Sebastian, the general evaluator of the session, successfully managed to give this positive feedback to build up all the people who had a role and weren’t evaluated.

At the end of the session Isabel gave Anna a ribbon for her ice-break speech and everyone in the club applauded her. The session was over!
