Charging the batteries !!!

Blog Barcelona

ENTHUSIASM AND
ENERGY
Yesterday, we had an amazing session conducted by Georgiana Moldoveanu with the leit-motif "how do you charge your batteries?". For Georgiana, a toastmaster session is one of the best ways to disconnect from ours extractors of energy and recharge our batteries.
PREPARATION AND
EXCELLENCE
Camilla, Madalina and Rayane offered three prepared speeches with a very large diversity of topics, styles and objectives. Camilla introduced herself in her first speech in the club. Madalina made an advanced speech and she delivered with a great confidence and a touch of "serious" humour. Rayane explained how works the progress in toastmasters in communication skills as well in leadership.
PARTICIPATION AND
CRITICAL THINKING
There were three speakers in final part of "impromptu" speeches. This section where everyone can participate, even you didn't have a pre-assigned role. Catalina Maldonado, who was the Master of this part of session, called some "forced" volunteers ... the best way to assure that everyone doesn't go to toastmasters to waste the time.
PROACTIVITY AND
FLEXIBILITY
Speaking about time, timekeeper was Marc  and the rest of technical team was composed of Claus as a grammarian and Enrique took finally the role of ah-counter. This last role was taken in the last minute due to a delay with the pre-assigned person. Great action ... we are in toastmasters where you also learn to be strict in the preparation and flexible in the implementation ... because real life is not always smooth.
PRACTICE AND
FEEDBACK
And there is not a toastmasters session without .... feedback !!!  Joan Marc and Jelena were the awesome surgeons of the speeches, everything conducted by the General Evaluator of day, Paul Conde, clever and specific in his detailed overview of session.
JOY AND
RECOGNITION
Camilla receives the Icebreaker awardCatalina, President of club, with Madalina and Camilla, the two speakers of session.
